1.Information we collect
Information you give us directly
When you send an inquiry through the form on our Site, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The property you are asking about
- Your requested check-in and check-out dates, if you provide them
- Anything you write in the message field
If you sign up for our email list, we collect your email address. Please do not send us payment card details, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the inquiry form. We do not need it and we do not want it.
Information collected automatically
The Site records basic activity so we can see which properties and pages people are interested in. This includes the page or section viewed, the time of the visit, your screen size, and the website that referred you to us, if any.
This activity data is not tied to your name or email address. Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, as a normal part of delivering and protecting the Site.
2.How we use it
- To answer your inquiry and discuss availability, rates, and your stay
- To send you booking information and follow up about a request you made
- To send occasional updates and offers about our properties, if you have not opted out
- To understand which properties and pages get attention, so we can improve the Site
- To keep records required for tax, insurance, and normal business purposes
- To protect the Site against abuse and fraud
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4.Cookies, site analytics, and advertising
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep basic preferences and to understand how visitors use the Site. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the Site may not work properly if you do. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Our own activity measurement
We run a simple, first-party measurement of page and section views, described in section 1. It stays with us, it is not sold, and the records are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Third-party analytics and advertising tools
We may use third-party analytics and advertising measurement tools on the Site, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). Where these are active, they tell us how visitors found us and which of our ads bring people to the Site, and they allow us to show ads to people who have already visited, a practice commonly called retargeting.
These tools receive technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and referring pages. They do not receive your name, your email address, your travel dates, or the contents of your message.
You can limit this at any time:
- Google: the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Meta: your Meta Ad Preferences, and the Meta Privacy Policy.
- Most browsers also offer private browsing and third-party cookie blocking.
5.Marketing emails and how to stop them
Worth knowing: if you send us an inquiry, your email address is added to our email list so we can follow up about your request and occasionally share availability and offers. You can ask us to remove you at any time and we will, promptly and without argument.
To opt out, use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or contact us using section 12 and ask to be removed. Opting out of marketing does not stop us from replying to an active inquiry or from sending information about a stay you have already booked.
6.How long we keep it
- Site activity records: automatically deleted after 90 days.
- Inquiries: kept as long as needed to respond and complete a stay, then for a reasonable period for our business, tax, and insurance records.
- Email list: kept until you ask to be removed.
7.Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- Remove you from our email list
Contact us using section 12 and we will handle it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law, and we will honor those requests where they apply to us.
8.Booking through Airbnb and Vrbo
Our properties are also listed on Airbnb and Vrbo. When you follow one of those links and book there, that booking happens on their platform under their privacy policy and terms, not ours. We receive only the guest information those platforms choose to share with us as the host.
The same applies to any other third-party website we link to. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, and we encourage you to read their policies.
9.Security
The Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to inquiry and email records is limited to the people who need it to run the business. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
10.Children
The Site is intended for adults booking travel. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated effective date. If we turn on a new tracking or advertising tool, we will name it in section 4. Continuing to use the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
12.How to reach us
For any privacy question, correction, deletion, or removal from our email list, use the contact form on our Site and write "Privacy" in the message. We will respond as quickly as we can.
